Remembering Steve Hilligoss

We have recently lost the man who many looked to as the spititual father of the AMHF and the keeper of our Harpoon. We have posted a special page for remembering Steve Hilligoss.

Winter Open House 2007

On February 17, 2007 the AMHF, operator of the vintage war bird the PV-2 Harpoon, hosted a fund raiser community/Open-House. The Harpoon was available for free public tours in the comfortable Indy Aero maintenance hanger at Mt. Comfort Airport. This Harpoon, the long-range sister aircraft of the PV-1 Ventura which spotted the survivors of the U. S. S. Indianapolis was on co-display with artifacts from the collection of the USS Indianapolis Museum.

Through a promotion from 20th Century Fox, the organization gave away DVD's and movie size posters of the movie, FlyBoys, in support of this event.

Thank you to all who attended the event in support of this historic aircraft. Your generous donations will be used to maintain the Harpoon.
